About The Position

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Palliative Care Physician to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in Sacramento, CA In this role, you will provide specialized palliative care services to patients in the outpatient setting, focusing on symptom management, psychosocial support, and advance care planning. Requirements

  • Board certified/Board eligible
  • Active California medical license (or eligibility)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient palliative care consultations and follow-up visits.
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers, specialists, and the interdisciplinary palliative care team (including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and others).
  • Support patients and families in navigating complex medical decisions and establishing care goals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, education, and program development to expand access to palliative services.
  • Provide mentorship and education to medical staff, residents, and trainees as appropriate.
