About The Position

Main Line Health is actively recruiting a Palliative Care Physician to join our growing, mission-driven Palliative Care Team serving patients across multiple Main Line Health campuses. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in both community and academic settings while helping bridge the gap between acute and ambulatory palliative services. The selected physician will provide a mix of inpatient and outpatient consultative services, with a strong focus on building an innovative embedded ambulatory model in collaboration with key service lines. This role offers the chance to shape a system-wide expansion of palliative care while working closely with hospitalists, specialists, advanced practice providers, social workers, chaplains, hospice partners, and nursing teams. We are seeking a physician who is: Agile and adaptable, able to thrive in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
  • Eligible for a Pennsylvania medical license.
  • DEA license required.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a matrixed, multi-campus environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a highly collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient palliative care consults across Main Line Health campuses.
  • Support the development of an ambulatory palliative care program in an embedded model.
  • Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, APPs, social workers, chaplains, and hospice teams to optimize patient care.
  • Participate in teaching opportunities with residents and medical students.
  • Advance system-wide quality and strategic initiatives, including reducing length of stay and readmissions, improving mortality, and supporting transitions to hospice when appropriate.
  • Contribute to program development, interdisciplinary education, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Foster a culture of communication, compassion, and teamwork.
