About The Position

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount up to $200,000 & eligibility period one to five years are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. This is an Open Continuous Announcement and may be extended beyond the current closing date until the position(s) are filled. Eligible applications will be referred at regular intervals, as additional vacancies occur and/or on an as-needed basis during the duration of the announcement. This position is with the ENT section of Surgery Service, at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Biloxi MS. The duties and responsibilities are carried throughout the medical center including all administrative and clinical areas involved within the service. Requirements

  • 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat diseases of the ear, nose, upper pharynx, larynx, oral cavity, and other head and neck structures.
  • Perform tests to find out the severity of hearing or speech loss due to diseases or injuries.
  • Performs the duties of a general otolaryngologist head and neck surgeon
  • Work closely with other physicians of other medical specialties to solve various medical issues.
