Please contact Carla Voss with questions: [email protected] #LI-CV1 Position Summary The General Orthopedic Surgeon plays a vital role within MultiCare Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care to patients of all ages. This physician is part of a collaborative team that includes fellow surgeons, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Physical Therapists, Nurses, and other clinical professionals, all working together to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of orthopedic conditions. This role encompasses expertise in fracture care, soft tissue injuries, arthritis, sports-related injuries, and both operative and non-operative treatment approaches. The general orthopedic surgeon is integral in promoting mobility, reducing pain, and improving quality of life for patients through evidence-based care and coordinated rehabilitation planning.

Requirements

Board certified/eligible in orthopedic surgery at time of employment
Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
BE/BC Orthopedic Surgery

Nice To Haves

An Orthopedic Fellowship is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients with musculoskeletal injuries, joint disorders, and degenerative conditions
Perform general orthopedic procedures including fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint injections, and soft tissue repair
Provide pre-operative and post-operative education and care
Utilize minimally invasive and evidence-based surgical techniques when appropriate
Collaborate with rehabilitation specialists to support optimal recovery and functional outcomes
Participate in orthopedic department’s on-call rotation
Document clinical encounters accurately and maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
