Physician- Orthopedic Surgeon
About The Position
Amberwell Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with Fellowship Training in Sports Medicine to join our orthopedic and sports medicine team. This full-time position includes a combination of outpatient clinic and surgical responsibilities with a focus on sports-related musculoskeletal conditions. The physician will support sports medicine care for local high schools and colleges and participate in a shared, remote orthopedic call rotation. This position is well-suited for both experienced surgeons and new graduates seeking a collaborative practice environment in a rural Kansas community.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Completion of an Orthopedic Surgery residency
- Fellowship training in Sports Medicine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Kansas
- New graduates encouraged to apply
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care in the outpatient clinic setting
- Perform orthopedic surgical procedures consistent with training and clinical privileges
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries
- Participate in orthopedic coverage for local high school and collegiate athletic programs, as assigned
- Collaborate with athletic trainers, physical therapists, primary care providers, and specialty teams
- Participate in a shared, remote orthopedic call rotation
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Comply with Amberwell Health policies, medical staff bylaws, and quality standards
- Participate in quality improvement and medical staff activities as required
