About The Position

The Miami VA Healthcare System's Surgical Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Ophthalmology Physician that specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and perform surgical or non-surgical procedures. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program. You must be an excellent communicator and team player who is adaptable to the needs of a growing medical center. This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT. Eligible applicants will be referred until all vacancies are filled. Major duties include but are not limited to the following: Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation, order diagnostic studies and procedures and perform surgical or non-surgical procedures on adult patients with ocular and visual disorders, the eyelid and orbit affecting the eye, including its related structures and visual pathways VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. Requirements

  • 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Responsibilities

  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation
  • Order diagnostic studies and procedures
  • Perform surgical or non-surgical procedures on adult patients with ocular and visual disorders, the eyelid and orbit affecting the eye, including its related structures and visual pathways
