About The Position
The position involves assisting the physician in assessing the needs of patients based on data collected through history, observation, physical exam, telephone triage, and analysis of diagnostic data. Responsibilities include performing direct patient care such as triage, assessment, procedures, treatments, patient education, discharge, and follow-up instructions. The role also requires preparing patients to be seen by the physician and formulating the initial database by systematically collecting pertinent information through communication with patients and families, observation, and objective evaluation. This includes vital signs, history, and chief complaint, and documentation of all relevant information in the patient's chart. Additionally, the position entails performing specialized tests, preparing medications, assisting with treatments, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
