About The Position

NorthBay Health seeks a Board-Certified, Licensed Physician specializing in Occupational Medicine to join our highly regarded health system in Northern California. Situated between the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa Valley, and Sacramento, which offers the perfect setting for healthy and active living. The Occupational Health Physician will provide and manage a consistent load of patients, including both pre-employment and post-injury cases, treat related injuries and conditions - musculoskeletal issues, sprains, strains, contusions, laceration, exposures, physicals, stress tests, fitness for duty assessments. Our Occupational Medicine department plays a key role in delivering preventive care, treatment for work-related injuries, and promoting employee health and wellness across a variety of industries. Position Overview Scheduling needs: Per Diem, Physician to work 1-5 days per week as needed. Clinic Schedule: Monday-Friday, Clinic hours, 40 hours a week, 8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Board-Certified, Licensed Physician specializing in Occupational Medicine.
  • Experience in managing occupational health services and worker's compensation care.
  • Ability to conduct physicals and assessments, including injury care and laceration suturing.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on providing occupational health services, including worker's compensation care, preventive health, and injury management.
  • Manage a consistent load of patients, including both pre-employment and post-injury cases.
  • Collaborate with a team of physicians, nurses, and support staff in an interdisciplinary setting.
  • Diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, including musculoskeletal injuries, respiratory conditions, and workplace exposures.
  • Conduct pre-employment physicals, return-to-work assessments, and fitness-for-duty evaluations.
  • Provide preventive services, including vaccinations, screenings, and health promotion initiatives.
  • Work with other healthcare providers, case managers, and employers to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements for workplace health and safety.
  • Provide guidance and education to employers and employees regarding workplace health and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulations.
