Requirements

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Valid medical license to practice in Illinois.
• Strong clinical skills and experience in OB/GYN practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with DaVinci robotic surgery.
• Familiarity with VBAC procedures.
• Interest in participating in community health initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Join a collegial team of 5 OB/GYNs, a midwife, nurses, lactation consultant, and childbirth educators.
• Design a flexible work schedule that meets personal and professional needs, with options for 26 weeks/year or a 4-day work week.
• Participate in a rounding and call schedule that ensures work/life balance, with current call being 1:6 for weekends and 1 day/week.
• Autonomously determine patient volumes and number of deliveries, with current annual deliveries ranging from 450 to 500 among 4 OB physicians.
• Perform outpatient cases in a state-of-the-art surgery center with 5 ORs, including 1 hybrid OR.
• Conduct inpatient cases and deliveries at Blessing Hospital, utilizing DaVinci robot and VBACs.
• Access to ob hospitalists for backup support.
• Contribute to the opening of a new birth center in early 2025.
