Physician, OB/GYN Hospitalist (Castro Valley, CA)
About The Position
Seeking a BC/BE OBGYN to join our OBGYN hospitalist program at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, CA (Bay Area) Our OBGYN hospitalist service provides 24/7 in-house care at Eden Medical Center with one in-house provider at a time. Responsibilities will include delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation and management, surgical and OB delivery assists, fetal monitoring, ED coverage for OB and Gyn patients, gynecologic consults, and urgent/emergent gynecologic surgery. Our OBGYN hospitalists work collaboratively with local obstetricians who deliver at Eden Hospital. They consult with MFM providers at our high-risk sister hospital in nearby Berkeley, CA to easily transfer out any high-risk or preterm patients. In-house pediatric hospitalist, trauma surgeon, anesthesiologist, adult medicine hospitalist, emergency medicine provider, and intensivist are available. Assistance for Cesareans and gynecologic cases is provided by the two private OBGYN groups that deliver at Eden. Emergency Cesarean assistance is provided by the trauma surgeon if no other OB is in house.
