About The Position

Requirements

Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution
Completion of neurosurgery residency
Board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery
Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in Washington State by employment start date
DEA registration, NPI number, and prescriptive authority
BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
Strong commitment to team-based care, continuous learning, and clinical excellence

Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients with neurosurgical conditions through outpatient clinic, hospital consultation, and pre-operative planning
Perform surgical interventions including cranial, spinal, and peripheral nerve procedures
Provide perioperative management and post-operative care with inpatient rounding and coordination
Interpret diagnostic studies such as CT, MRI, and neuroangiography to support surgical planning
Collaborate with specialists in neurology, oncology, trauma, and critical care for comprehensive patient management
Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and ongoing management strategies
Participate in academic conferences, multidisciplinary team meetings, and protocol development
Accurately document clinical encounters and maintain compliance with institutional, regulatory, and payer standards
