West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurosurgery in the WVU School of Medicine are seeking a neurosurgeon (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for Princeton Community Hospital. The practice will focus on all aspects of spinal neurosurgery but include general neurosurgery as part of a busy neurosurgical group belonging to the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Princeton, WV. As a full member of the West Virginia University Health System, Princeton Community Hospital is part of a broad, integrated network of doctors, hospitals, clinics, and specialized institutes across West Virginia, Southwestern Pennsylvania, Western Maryland, and Ohio. Today, the WVU Health System, which operates under the brand WVU Medicine, has more than 20,000 employees; 2,815 providers; 25 member hospitals; and more than 2.5 million patient visits annually. Princeton Community Hospital is a non-profit, 203-bed acute care multispecialty medical facility serving a 10-county region in southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia. PCH owns and operates 17 ambulatory clinics offering a wide range of medical specialties. It offers advanced medical technologies and procedures, from state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging to minimally invasive surgery. The Neurosurgery practice at Princeton Hospital will be focused on delivering high quality spine care to the residents in Southeastern West Virginia. The WVU Department of Neurosurgery currently staffs Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV, which will be the nearest Neurosurgery practice in the state. The Princeton practice will work closely with its partners in Charleston. The WVU Department of Neurosurgery performed >5,500 procedures last year around the health system.
