About The Position

The Physician (Neurology) position at the Army Medical Center Eisenhower involves providing comprehensive neurological care to patients, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment of various neurological conditions. Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a Physician from a U.S. state or territory.
• Completion of an accredited residency training in Neurology or equivalent experience and training of at least 4 years.
• Ability to fulfill credentialing requirements and maintain appropriate clinical privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
• Experience in a military or government healthcare setting
• Familiarity with telemedicine practices

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Physician in the Neurology Clinic and as a Neurology consultant to the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) clinic.
• Examine, diagnose, and treat a full range of outpatients seen in the clinics.
• Supervise and provide clinical teaching to nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical students, interns, residents, and fellows.
• Assist with on-call coverage and provide recommendations for neurology problems through phone consultation and telemedicine.
• Authorize and evaluate air evacuation patients as appropriate.
