About The Position

West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurology in the WVU School of Medicine are seeking a Movement Disorders specialist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. Duties: In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students and neurology residents. The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute guides a team of 280 dedicated faculty in providing compassionate patient care and advanced medicine through education, research, and outreach in the many diverse communities we serve. The Institute spearheads efforts to develop innovative solutions for neurological and psychiatric conditions ranging from Alzheimer’s to Parkinson’s; autism to stroke; and paralysis to chronic pain, addictions, and traumatic brain injury.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligibility for state licensure.
  • Completion of a neurology residency program.
  • Completion of a movement disorders fellowship.
  • Board certified/eligible in neurology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Teach medical students and neurology residents.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurologists, neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers, neuropathologists, and therapists.
  • Participate in research and education.
