About The Position

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program , a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Administrative activities, including performance improvement activities, research, and non-clinical tasks as assigned. Exhibits leadership in initializing changes in patient care programs based on current concepts and findings from research and studies. Stays informed on developments in the management and treatment of diseases and illness through continuing medical education Responsible for managing and overseeing hemodialysis patients. Responsible for completing telehealth visits, e-consults, as well as interfacility consults in appropriate the patient population. Responsible for providing consultation on various forms of nephrology disease states, both for diagnosis and treatment in the outpatient, inpatient and CLC settings Will practice the full scope of General Nephrology clinical care, to include comprehensive renal/nephrology services and procedures, functioning as an expert for patient care related to acute, chronic and end-stage kidney disease, fluid, electrolyte and acid-based disorders VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.   • 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Responsibilities
