Job Title: Physician – Neonatology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Flagstaff, AZ Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Morning rounds included On -Call Shift Schedule: 24 -hour on -call (7 on / 7 off) Call Type: In -House COVERAGE DATES Ongoing coverage beginning ASAP Minimum commitment: 1 week per month PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Neonates Patient Volume/Census: TBD Admissions: Yes Rounding: Included (morning rounds) Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: Level III -A NICU patients FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 18 NICU beds Trauma Level: Adult Levels I–IV EMR System: Cerner Office Equipment Available: TBD Specialty Backup Available: Neonatal nursing staff Support Staff Available: NICU nurses Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: TBD Credentialing Timeline: ASAP COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Neonatal intensive care management Delivery room coverage JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Arizona license required Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology DEA: Required Certifications: BLS, PALS Experience: Minimum 1 year neonatology experience Other Qualifications: Ability to provide independent 24 -hour coverage DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide 24 -hour on -call neonatology coverage Conduct daily NICU rounds Manage Level III -A NICU patients Collaborate with NICU nursing staff and hospital teams Document all encounters in Cerner EMR
