Department Overview The Children's Minnesota Department of Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) is committed to advancing the health of infants, children, and adolescents through high-value, evidence-based, family-centered care within the hospital and across health systems to promote the health and equity of all children. We partner with the University of Minnesota Pediatrics, Medicine/Pediatrics Residency, and multiple regional Family Medicine Residency Programs to offer broad-based training in pediatrics in the inpatient setting. Integrated with our educational activities, these programs provide hands-on learning to equip graduates with the skills they'll need as future advocates of children's health. Position Summary The Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) Department at Children’s Minnesota is seeking compassionate and skilled Pediatric Chief Resident Moonlighters for the 2026 – 2027 academic year from the University of Minnesota Department of Pediatrics. Shift Details $115.24/hour Shifts: variable, mostly MD helper shifts (MF2, SF2, MN2) or admitting shifts, occasional daytime rounding shifts, Monday to Sunday Scheduling minimums: goal of 6 shifts per contract year This role is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating pediatric patients while delivering high quality care that meets state, federal, and national standards. The physician will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team to support patient recovery, prevent future illness, and promote overall health and wellness.
