About The Position

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking Neonatologists to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. The selected Physicians will care for babies born prematurely or with complex medical problems in our Level IV NICU where they will have access to the full-range of resources at the nationally recognized Wolfson Children’s Hospital. The selected candidates will have the support of a wide range of specially trained critical care professionals who care for all the needs of infant and family. Candidates should have demonstrated excellent clinical and interpersonal skills as well as a high regard for teamwork. Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board certified/eligible in area of specialty
  • Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient care across disciplines including maternal-fetal medicine, pediatric surgery, and cardiology
  • Perform or supervise procedures such as intubation, umbilical line placement, surfactant administration, and more.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for newborns based on clinical best practices.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with families about patient conditions, care plans, and outcomes.
  • Participate in high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitations as needed.
