About The Position

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport & Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible for our Medical Director role in Urgent Care. This physician would be over 3 clinics in Northern Louisiana. Your main focus for this position is Urgent Care oversight of the APPs, the clinics, and some clinical. Ochsner Health is an integrated healthcare system with more than 36,000 employees and over 4,600 employed and affiliated physicians in over 90 medical specialties and subspecialties. Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in a relevant medical specialty.
  • Experience in leadership roles within healthcare settings.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare finance and reimbursement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in urgent care settings.
  • Familiarity with project planning and execution in healthcare.
  • Experience in negotiation and conflict resolution.

  • Able to set, track, and achieve local goals in the context of Ochsner’s system strategy and operating system.
  • Basic knowledge of potential synergies across the System.
