About the position

University of Maryland Pathology Associates seeks a full-time Pathologist to serve as Laboratory Medical Director at University of Maryland Shore Health Network (UMSRH), centered in Easton, Maryland. This position is fully clinical in nature, with no teaching or research requirement, although such interests can be accommodated. In addition to administrative roles, the Pathologist will perform general anatomic and clinical pathology responsibilities, primarily general surgical pathology sign-out and frozen sections, with support from the entire academic faculty. Telepathology and teleconferencing technology will allow for full clinical integration into the School of Medicine's Pathology faculty. The successful candidate will have the interpersonal skills to work with local providers and hospital leadership to provide a high-quality patient care experience. As part of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), our UMSRH providers bring world-class care to local communities in Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, and Talbot counties.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of pathology practice.
  • Board certification or Board eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
