About The Position

A Physician Liaison/Community Health Education Coordinator (CHEC) is responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers and their staff, acting as a liaison between those offices and USDH practice locations, increasing awareness of USDH’s GI services, and ensuring a seamless process to enhance community health and patient care.

Requirements

  • Healthcare background and/or experience.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree and significant experience in the health care or pharmaceutical sales field
  • Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, medications, & ICD-10 codes.
  • Ability to work consultatively with practice managers, physicians, and clinical staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
  • Reliable transportation is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty provider experience a plus.
  • Nursing credentials preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify key contacts at healthcare providers, visit/contact, and educate them about the capabilities, providers, services offered by USDH.
  • Facilitate laddered introductions between providers, site supervisors, and staff; and help build those relationships
  • Travel to and conduct visits and any needed service recovery with healthcare providers and clinical staff; address questions and concerns
  • Provide contact names and any procedural/process information
  • Build relationships between 1) USDH GIs and their divisions and 2) healthcare providers.
  • Build laddered relationships between office managers and site supervisors as well.
  • Instill confidence that referring to USDH will be a positive experience for the the provider and their patient
  • Increase provider (internal and external) satisfaction
  • Troubleshoot current coordination of care processes and build any needed new processes for patient care,, including emergency contacts for urgent cases
  • Provide education on 45+ colonoscopies, the difference between screening and diagnostic colonoscopies, how colonoscopies work, etc. and general preventive GI care.
  • ID and suggest other proactive ways to keep in front of healthcare providers, in-person and through outreach, education, referral forms, handouts, etc., to also include events attendance, sponsorships, lunch and learns, talks at healthcare provider conferences, etc. etc.
  • ID market and competitive pressures
  • Connect with healthcare providers and hospital medical staff offices to keep abreast of provider changes in the market
