This role is for a physician who wants to practice through providing compassionate, patient centered care. Patients are seen in the office and hospital rounding is required. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.   • Maintenance of timely, accurate and detailed medical records using E Clinical Works (ECW), the Medical Center’s office based EMR is required
  • Prescribes medication or therapy when necessary
  • Recommends lifestyle changes as appropriate to improve quality of life
  • Explains all medical procedures thoroughly
  • Explains test results and provide patients with plan of care details
  • Consults with other doctors as appropriate about patient’s specific needs
  • Participates in tumor boards and multi-disciplinary clinics
  • Serves on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested
  • Seeks to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goals
  • Participates in business development and marketing activities to grow the business
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgery
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications to include but not limited to ECW, Cerner
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s)
