About The Position

Baptist Medical Group in Oxford, MS is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Pulmonology Physician. This is an employed opportunity with Baptist Medical Group, the largest multi-specialty group in the Mid-South with over 1,000 providers. The position offers a competitive compensation package, a sign-on bonus, a complete benefits package, and relocation assistance. The physician will perform procedures in a hospital setting and see patients in a clinic setting, including navigational bronchoscopies with biopsy, thoracoscopy, and EBUS. The group will also open a lung nodule clinic to follow up on these patients. Currently, there are 4 physicians in the group, one of whom is sleep certified, and there is one Nurse Practitioner assisting with hospital rounds, with plans to add another soon. The hospital has a 24-bed ICU and hospitalists available 24/7, with E ICU for overnight and weekend patient coverage. The physician will work out of Baptist North Mississippi, a 217-bed hospital, and will see patients from 12 surrounding counties. The hospital is 10 years old and offers a full spectrum of specialties with full-time hospitalists in-house. There is a high demand for lung nodule patient appointments due to busy oncologists nearby. The work environment is collaborative and collegial, with a supportive administrative team.

Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Interventional Pulmonology.
