Ochsner Health is seeking multiple BC/BE Anesthesiologists or PM&R Physicians, fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management, to join our expanding Interventional Pain Medicine program in the Greater New Orleans area. Preferred candidates will have a strong interest in chronic pain management and be able to provide interventional and comprehensive care in the outpatient as well as the perioperative setting. As this is an academic program, candidates must be willing to commit to teaching and/or research. The successful applicant will be comfortable developing relationships in an expanding referral network and be committed to using comprehensive electronic medical records. Our interventional pain program is a component of the Department of Anesthesiology, with a fully accredited residency and pain fellowship program. Salary and title will be commensurate with training and experience.   • Examine the health of a patient to help make proper diagnosis of clinical conditions and prescribing medication, treatments, and follow-up care as required.
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
  • Provide care directly and indirectly by working with other members of an interdisciplinary team to formulate treatment plans.
  • Timely record patient encounters in Electronic Health Record.
  • Request further medical evaluations and make referrals, as necessary.
  • Understand and commit to the highest standards of professionalism; willingness to hold others to those standards.
  • Commit to collaboration with all members of the department to provide quality patient care.
  • Ensure accurate coding of all patient visits.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, bylaws, processes of privileging/credentialing, and standards of care that are conducive to the provision of high-quality medical services consistent with accreditation standards, state and federal licensure or regulations, Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulations, guidelines, requirements, and statutes as applicable.
  • Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensure compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
  • Board certified or eligible for certification in physician’s primary specialty.
  • Licensed Practicing Provider MD/DO.
