Visas Accepted N/A Specialty Diagnostic Radiology - Interventional/Invasive Practice Details Sanford Health has an opening for a Vascular & Interventional Radiologist to join our established practice in Fargo, North Dakota. Required to have completed IR/DR subspecialty training by the time of employment. • Part of a multi-specialty hospital group that currently includes 4 Interventional Radiologists and 24 Diagnostic Radiologists. • Call Ratio (No stroke call): Weekdays - 1:5 / Weekends - 1:5 / Rotate Holidays • Practice is approximately 80-90% IR with procedures and clinic. • Robust clinic is managed by multiple APPs. • Types of procedures performed: Arterial and Venous Interventions; Aortic Interventions including EVAR; Interventional Oncology; Hepatobiliary; Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty; Trauma (Level 1 Trauma Center); TIPS; Pediatrics; and more. • The group is excited to train motivated IR doctors in procedures in which they feel they need additional expertise. • Accepts H1-B Community Description The Fargo-Moorhead and West Fargo metro area is a diverse, family-oriented community of 216,000 people that offers high quality of life and low cost of living. Job Description Vascular and Interventional Radiology Core Privileges include the ability to perform history and physical examination, admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment plans for patients of all ages.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways: An applicant who has just completed a fellowship shall provide his/her fellowship. OR An applicant who is not applying directly out of a fellowship shall provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures performed morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications. The applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement in at least 100 Interventional Radiology procedures in the last 24 months. OR If a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges, documentation of the applicant’s clinical activity for the past 24 months will be reviewed. The applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement of at least 100 Interventional Radiology procedures in the last 24 months. More education and experience may be required the more advanced the practice becomes.
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Radiology residency program of at least 4 years duration and a clinical fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology of at least 1-year duration accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency. The Credentials Committee and the Board of Directors may consider training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than the above.
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their fellowship training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives.
