About The Position

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Requirements

• 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Ensuring quality outcomes, veteran satisfaction, and effective care, as well as promoting the development of Cardiology Section's Interventional Cardiology capabilities.
• Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment/procedural skills or consultative services to patients presenting with cardiovascular disease.
• Throughout assigned times, the incumbent shall be available for all urgent or emergent assessments requested from any location in the hospital or on-site outpatient clinics and services.
• Participate in evening and weekend call when required.
• Directly engage in student, resident, and fellow training.
• Complete all documentation timely and according to accepted medical standards.
• All other duties as assigned.
