About The Position

Ascension Wisconsin/ASVI is seeking a passionate and dedicated Ambulatory Internal Medicine Physician or Family Medicine Physician to join our team as we launch a new Internal Medicine Residency Program in July 2025. This full-time clinical faculty position will play a vital role in building and leading the ambulatory component of the residency program, working directly with residents in the clinic setting to provide high-quality patient care and education. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of medical education and healthcare delivery within our community while contributing to a new and innovative residency program.

Requirements

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience is preferred, but new graduates with a strong desire to teach and lead, as well as experienced clinicians who want to move into the teaching space are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and lead the ambulatory clinical training program for the Internal Medicine Residency.
• Work full-time in the clinic setting, supervising and teaching residents during patient care.
• Assist in establishing the clinic’s operations and structure to support the residency program.
• Provide direct patient care, including managing your own patient panel as the residency program develops.
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure alignment with ACGME accreditation standards and educational objectives.
• Participate in curriculum development and scholarly activities, contributing to the program’s academic mission.
• Mentor and support residents in their professional development, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Serve as a role model for residents by demonstrating exemplary clinical and interpersonal skills.
