About The Position

The University of Kansas Health System, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is seeking a Transplant Hepatologist to join its expanding team to support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities at the region’s quaternary referral center. The candidate should be fellowship-trained, board certified or equivalent, and eligible for licensure in Kansas. Essential functions include upper endoscopy procedure, colonoscopy, liver biopsies, as well as patient visits in the outpatient clinic and providing inpatient consultative services. Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows, residents, and medical students. Engage in clinical or basic science research. Gastroenterology team comprised of 14 GI faculty, 7 Transplant Hepatologists (10 total Hepatology Faculty), 2 IBD Faculty and 20 APPs . E ndoscopy suites (Main campus - 6 and ASC /other outpatient center - 4; with expansion, we will have additional rooms) . Call is every 5 weeks. Participate in educational conferences .

Requirements
