About The Position

Ochsner LSU Health System – Monroe Medical Center and LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport seek applicants for an Internal Medicine position. Must be BE/BC in Internal Medicine and be eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure. Graduating Internal Medicine residents are welcome to apply. This position is for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine. We are looking for a physician to join our expanding primary care team and provide patients with high-quality treatment and diagnostic services. The ideal candidate is an intuitive healthcare professional whose diagnostic abilities are only matched by their concern for their patients.

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure.

• Experience in teaching medical students and residents.

Responsibilities

• Join a collegial and multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to collaborate on a customized plan of care for each patient.
• Provide leadership and input at all levels of administration.
• Utilize the EPIC medical record platform.
• Manage refills through a refill center handling over 70% of refills.
• Reduce documentation time with ambient listening available to everyone in Primary care.
• Work with LPN Care Coordinators dedicated to closing care gaps.
• Assist with complex patient management through Outpatient Care Managers.
• Support the management of patients with chronic conditions through Health Digital Medicine.
• Combine teaching and patient care, emphasizing teaching and providing leadership to medical students and residents.
