About The Position
Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease Physician. The role involves providing assessment, treatment, and management of care for adult patients with infectious diseases. The physician will also participate in medical education or community benefit programs as requested, assist in educating and training support staff for efficient infectious disease services, and ensure timely completion of medical charting and billing activities. The position requires working at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT, 06606, and HHCMG’s Professional Offices at 2979 Main Street and 2660 Main Street, both in Bridgeport, CT 06606.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), or the foreign equivalent
- Completion of a U.S. medical residency program in Internal Medicine
- Completion of a U.S. medical fellowship program in Infectious Disease
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine
- Board certification or board eligibility in Infectious Disease
- Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, treatment and management of care for adult patients with infectious diseases
- Participate in medical education or community benefit programs or other activities as may be requested
- Assist in educating and training support staff in the provision of efficient and effective infectious disease services
- Timely complete medical charting and billing activities for provided services
