About The Position

The Physician Infectious Disease reports to the Medical Director. The Physician Infectious Disease will examine, perform diagnosis, and treat HIV patients who come to the clinic for acute medical attention. The Physician Infectious Disease also determines procedures and treatments to appropriate sources; discuss findings with private providers and supervise the work of the professional staff. The Physician Infectious Disease will assist the Medical Director in providing supervision and leadership for all Clinical staff, assist in providing direction for medical policies and standards for the Corporation. Ensures compliance with mission statement and philosophy with regard to medical practices. Assist in overseeing the quality of care issues and compliance. Responsible for patient care and/or provision of care by other clinical providers. Attend monthly Quality Management and Provider meetings and reports on all pertinent qualify issues. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Leadership abilities
  • Understanding and sensitivity of the Latino population
  • Must submit to and pass a drug test and background check clearance as a prerequisite for employment
  • Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, MMR, TDAP, Varicella, and Hepatitis B vaccines
  • Must be able to provide a fitness for duty exam and recent TB test
  • Candidate must possess a Medical Degree and a California State Medical License and be Board eligible or Board Certified

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
  • Experience providing care to HIV patients preferred
