Piedmont Geriatric Hospital (PGH), operated by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), is a 123-bed psychiatric facility dedicated exclusively to serving individuals aged 65 and older. Requirements

• Must possess an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or obtain one prior to the start of employment.
• Medical degree and completion of an ACGME-approved residency training in Psychiatry prior to the start of employment.
• Current DEA controlled Substance registration/licensed or obtain one prior to the start of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Geriatric/Psychiatric Hospital experience.
• Board Certification preferred but board eligible accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluation and onsite coverage for geriatric (65+) public sector patient population.
• Work primary hours of 8:30 am-5:00 pm.
• Provide on-call psychiatric services as needed on weekends and holidays.
