About The Position

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. (HHCMG) seeks five (5) full-time Hospitalist Physicians to work at Hartford Hospital (HH) in Hartford, CT. Will Provide comprehensive clinical care in an inpatient setting to adult patients with diseases and injuries; admit patients under hospital patient acceptance policy; provide Hospitalist services to patients admitted to hospital medicine services or being consulted on by hospital medicine services; deliver documentation in the written and electronic record consistent with the hospital's ongoing clinical documentation and quality metric programs; work with emergency department physicians to assure effective communication and transition of patients and with specialty services to assure highest quality of care and consultation to and from other specialty services; work with referring physicians from the community to optimize patient care; help develop new systems to achieve highest measures of care quality and resource utilization; provide leadership in committees, task forces and other areas related to inpatient care and patient transition; attend regularly scheduled meetings related to hospital medicine.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), or the foreign equivalent
  • Completion of a U.S. medical residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license
