About The Position

This is an opportunity to work as a Hospitalist with a world-renowned transplant group, managing a diverse panel of transplant, hepatology, gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology, and general internal medicine patients. The role involves integrating general and perioperative medicine, liver disease, complex GI, advanced heart failure, specialty cardiac care, and end-organ disease management into a team that maximizes patient satisfaction and outcomes. The Hospitalist will oversee care for medically complex patients while collaborating closely with a full complement of consult services, a top-notch radiology service, and an interactive inpatient pharmacy team. The position is based at Sutter Health's Flagship Hospital, CPMC, which has been recognized as a Leapfrog Group Top Hospital, the best hospital in the Bay Area, and the 'Healthiest Hospital in America'. The service load is designed to provide excellent work-life balance while allowing for careful and considered patient care. Shifts are either regular ‘Day shifts’ (8am - 6pm) or ‘Swing Shifts’ (3pm – 10pm), and the role operates within a closed ICU with no rounding.

Requirements

BC/BE in Internal Medicine
Active and unrestricted CA Medical License

Nice To Haves

Experience with tertiary care medicine is highly preferred
