About The Position

The position is for a full-time BC/BE Hospice and Palliative Care Physician to join the Hospice team at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. The physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional end-of-life care, primarily focusing on home-based hospice services and inpatient care at the SRHS Hospice Home. Responsibilities include patient care, administrative duties related to the HPM Fellowship program, and participation in interdisciplinary group meetings.

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care.
• Experience in hospice and palliative care settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
• Experience in teaching or mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Team Physician for 2/4 patient care teams in the home hospice program.
• Conduct rounding at the SRHS Hospice Home.
• Attend Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings.
• Act as the attending physician for patients on the team.
• Perform home visits within a 4-county service area.
• Provide after-hours and weekend on-call support (phone call only).
• Cover weekends for the inpatient hospice house.
• Serve as Core Faculty for the HPM Fellowship program, overseeing the Hospice requirement for HPM Fellows.
• Handle HPM Fellowship related administrative duties.
• Manage patient-related administrative duties.
