Staff Hepatologist – Transplant Hepatology Faculty Rank: Assistant or Associate Professor Location Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Institution Overview The University of Oklahoma (OU) and OU Health are seeking a highly qualified Staff Hepatologist with transplant hepatology experience for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to join Oklahoma’s only comprehensive academic medical center. OU Health is home to an established liver transplant program serving both adult and pediatric patients and is recognized for its multidisciplinary approach that integrates advanced clinical care, innovative research, and comprehensive education. The program recently completed the state’s first evidence-based liver transplant for a particularly challenging form of bile duct cancer, placing OU Health among a select group of programs nationwide offering this advanced treatment. Position Overview This faculty position offers the opportunity to practice transplant hepatology within a collaborative academic environment. The Staff Hepatologist will provide specialized care to patients with advanced liver disease and liver transplant candidates and recipients. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, active participation in multidisciplinary transplant services, and contribution to the teaching and scholarly missions of OU Health. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments.
