Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Hematologist/Oncologist with advanced training and interest in cellular therapy and hematopoietic cell transplantation to join our established and expanding team in Sacramento, CA. This is a full-time, clinically focused opportunity to practice the full spectrum of hematologic care, including malignant and classical hematology, with emphasis on stem cell transplantation and adoptive cellular therapies such as CAR-T. The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. Whether you are newly fellowship-trained or an experienced transplant physician, this position offers robust support and growth potential in one of Northern California's premier integrated care systems. Clinical Responsibilities: Provide direct inpatient and outpatient care for patients with hematologic malignancies, including management of cellular therapy (e.g., CAR-T) and autologous/allogeneic stem cell transplantation. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including transplant coordinators, nurse navigators, and specialty RNs to deliver high-quality, coordinated care. Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, case conferences, and clinical rounds. Opportunity to teach and mentor residents through Sutter Health’s Family Medicine Residency Program. Involved in the continuum of care from initial consultation through long-term survivorship and follow-up. Practice Highlights: FACT-accredited for autologous, allogeneic, and marrow transplants. Opportunity to take on the role of Processing Facility Medical Director within our Cellular Therapy Laboratory Research & Academic Engagement: Participate in clinical and translational research, with support from the Sutter Institute for Medical Research (SIMR). Engage in the design, enrollment, and execution of clinical trials, including investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored studies. Contribute to departmental educational activities, journal clubs, and academic discussions.
