About The Position

Mercy Gynecologist Oncology is currently seeking a board certified or board eligible surgeon to join our practice in St Louis, MO. Our Gynecologist Oncology Team consists of two Surgeons, two nurse practitioners, and an engaged support staff focused on quality patient care. Mercy Gynecologist Oncology is a busy and well-established practice located on the campus of Mercy Hospital St. Louis & Mercy Hospital South in the St Louis Metropolitan area. The position involves collaborating with the current team to expand services outside of the Metropolitan area, teaching OB/GYN residents, and participating in clinical trials. The David C. Pratt Cancer Center, located on the campus of Mercy Hospital St Louis, is accredited with commendation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Mercy Hospital St Louis is a 979-bed, Level I Trauma Center, fully accredited teaching hospital with over 120 referring OB/GYNs on the hospital medical staff. The Proton Therapy Center is also on campus. Mercy's Obstetrics/Gynecology Department sponsors a residency training program and is supported by a full staff of OB/GYN subspecialists. The David M. Sindelar Cancer Center, located on the campus of Mercy Hospital South, is also accredited with commendation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons and is a 767 acute-bed hospital, Level II Trauma Center. The new, state-of-the-art two-story 80,000 square foot facility provides patients with one location for diagnosis and treatment of all cancers. The APEx-accredited Radiation Oncology Center of Excellence is the third-largest medical center in the Greater St Louis area. Mercy offers clinical studies for every major type of cancer, giving our patients access to the latest therapies, 340B drug pricing to help reduce the cost of infusion to patients, genetic testing, and clinical trials through our research department. Additional support includes rehab oncology, lymphedema, integrative medicine, and access to onsite oncology social workers, cancer-specific financial counselors, oncology dietitian, counselor, and Chaplin, as well as two cancer-dedicated research RNs.

Requirements

  • Board certified or board eligible surgeon in Gynecologic Oncology.
