This role provides clinical primary care provided by Physician specifically trained for and skilled in comprehensive first contact and continuing care for persons with any undiagnosed sign, symptom, or health concern not limited by problem origin (biological, behavioral, or social), organ system, or diagnosis. This position will work closely with the clinical team and is primarily responsible for managing direct patient care with the implementation of evidence-based medicine and adherence to national and internal practice guidelines and policies. Provides patient advocacy in the health care system to accomplish cost-effective care by coordination of health care services. Promotes effective communication with patients and encourages the role of the patient as a partner in health care. This position will also play a key role at driving clinical initiatives for BTHealth, collaborating with other health professionals, and utilizing consultation of referral, as appropriate.

Excellent communication skills and ability to adjust communication styles when working with patients, their families and colleagues.
Highly organized, strong time management skills and flexibility to manage multiple timelines and activities.
Standards continue to be refined reflecting the scope of services within which PCPs are expected to practice.
Board certification must be current.
The PCP is required to provide call coverage for assigned Brown & Toland members 24/7, 365 days a year or participate in a call group.
Minimum of 1-2 years clinical experience
Successfully completed residency in their specialty
Active and in good standing Medical Licensure in the state of California and Board Certified
Active and good standing NPI number
Active and good standing DEA number from US Drug Enforcement

Nice To Haves

3+ years professional experience working as a PCP
Significant experience working with an EHR, preferably Epic
