About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a BE/BC Adult Geneticist to join a busy practice. Join clinical geneticists, Advanced Practice Providers, and genetic counselors. BE/BC Medical Geneticist. Applicants with a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply, will consider pediatrics, IM or FM trained. Minimum qualifications include MD or DO degree, BC in clinical genetics by the ABMG. Applicants must be well versed and have a willingness to deploy pre-emptive genetic testing and other new and innovative genetic programs. The multi-disciplinary team includes clinical geneticists, a molecular pathologist, molecular laboratory geneticists, pharmacogenomics pharmacists, APP's and genetic counselors. Research opportunities available, if desired. Pediatric Residency Program, allowing for a faculty appointment through the Sanford School of Medicine, academic appointment available through Sanford School of Medicine, commensurate with experience. Genetic Counseling Program started in 2016 with a joint effort between Sanford Health and Augustana University.

Requirements

• BE/BC Medical Geneticist.
• MD or DO degree.
• BC in clinical genetics by the ABMG.
• Willingness to deploy pre-emptive genetic testing.

Responsibilities

• Join clinical geneticists, Advanced Practice Providers, and genetic counselors.
• Deploy pre-emptive genetic testing and other new and innovative genetic programs.
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary team including clinical geneticists, a molecular pathologist, molecular laboratory geneticists, pharmacogenomics pharmacists, APP's and genetic counselors.
• Engage in research opportunities if desired.
• Contribute to the Pediatric Residency Program and potentially hold a faculty appointment.
