About The Position
The Prisma Health Physician is responsible for the provision of quality medical services to patients of Prisma Health-University Medical Group. This role involves engaging in the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease, defects, or injuries, and recommending or prescribing treatments for the relief or cure of physical, mental, or functional ailments or defects. The physician is expected to render medical treatment consistent with generally accepted professional standards of care, without regard to patients' ability to pay or their race, creed, color, sex, religion, national origin, or age. Additionally, the physician must complete accurate, legible, and timely records for all medical examinations and procedures, and comply with standards of accepted medical practice and regulations of managed care organizations.
