About The Position
The Physician - Gastroenterology position at Ridgeview Medical Center involves providing comprehensive medical care to patients suffering from digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing patients, developing tailored treatment plans, and ensuring appropriate follow-up care. This role is critical in monitoring the progress of patients and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving health needs. In this position, the physician will provide direct care for clinical patients requiring gastroenterology and endoscopy services. This includes performing essential endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies, Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), and sigmoidoscopies. The physician will also administer medications and treatments to patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. Education is a vital component of this role, as the physician will be expected to educate patients and their family members about their diagnoses and the treatment processes involved. Additionally, the physician will review patients' medical histories while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to each patient's health situation. The role may involve providing care in various settings, including ambulatory clinics, inpatient, or outpatient hospital environments. Participation in an on-call rotation may also be required, adding to the dynamic nature of this position.
