About The Position

Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods (SMGR) has an immediate opening for a full-time General Gastroenterologist to join the current 7 provider practice (6 physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, and 1 physician assistant) with excellent growth potential. The position is located in Santa Rosa, California and involves a full scope general gastroenterology practice. The hospital group call is shared between 6 physicians, and the practice has spacious new offices immediately adjacent to the hospital. An on-site Surgery Center for outpatient surgeries is available, along with an integrated EMR (EPIC) in both the office and hospital, supported by a strong office staff. The hospital features the latest da Vinci robotic-assisted technology for specially trained surgeons and has general surgery support. The practice is affiliated with California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in San Francisco.

Requirements

• Board certified/eligible in Gastroenterology
• An active and unrestricted California Medical License
• 2-5 years of experience preferred but not required
• Robotics training is ideal but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide full scope general gastroenterology services
• Participate in hospital group call shared between 6 physicians
• Utilize the latest da Vinci robotic-assisted technology for surgeries
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
