About The Position

Corewell Health Medical Group is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist for a full-time position. This role offers a highly competitive salary and starting bonus. The successful candidate will join a collegial practice comprising 18 physicians and 11 APPs, providing a broad array of gastroenterology services. The team supports trainee education and actively participates in research and clinical trials. The interventional service is high volume, having performed over 6,000 cases in 2025, with providers averaging 10-12 cases per day. This is a regional quaternary referral center with an established referral base throughout Michigan and beyond. Cases are performed at Butterworth and Blodgett hospitals in Grand Rapids, as well as multiple additional endoscopy sites in the surrounding region. The practice includes associated Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and Hepatology programs, emphasizing a collaborative team-based approach to care. Teaching and research opportunities are available, and the role involves working in conjunction with other subspecialists. The position requires full-time interventional endoscopy, with equitable night General GI call (1 in 18) and weekend call (1 in 8). Daytime interventional call (8a-5p) is 1 in 5, covering inpatients and urgent cases only. Outpatient work includes weekly office hours. Requirements

  • BE/BC in Gastroenterology
  • License - Michigan MD/DO MI license
  • Proficient in EUS
  • Proficient in ERCP
  • Proficient in advanced tissue resection
  • Proficient in luminal intervention
