About The Position

Requirements

• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
• Experience in hospital pharmacies, retail pharmacies, or pharmaceutical firms is preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical nomenclature and systems of weights and measures.
• Completion of relevant education in pharmacy or pharmacy technology.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with IV preparation and compounding.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and inventory management systems.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and manage drug stocks.
• Provide information to patients regarding prescriptions.
• Prepare sterile solutions and compound medications as required.
• Record prescription refills and maintain accurate patient records.
