About The Position

This position provides medical care and treatment to patients on a part-time or temporary basis. Key responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing medical conditions, and developing and implementing treatment plans in accordance with established protocols. The physician will monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and order and interpret diagnostic tests. Communication with patients and their families to provide education and support is essential, as is maintaining accurate medical records and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. The role also involves participating in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and staying current with medical advancements and research to ensure the best possible patient care. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent, required.
  • Graduate of an approved Fellowship program if applicable, required.
  • Medical License in the State of Ohio, required.
  • For surgery - completed at least 3 months of a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery rotation at the Hospital and is a PGY3 or PGY4 or higher at another hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participates in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows as required.
  • Stays up-to-date with medical advancements and research to provide the best possible care.
