About The Position

The Physician Enterprise Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the financial health and strategic decision-making of physician practices. This position involves preparing, analyzing, and interpreting complex financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple reporting systems. The analyst partners with finance, operations, and physician leadership teams to provide actionable insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and monitor performance metrics. You will contribute to financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes, helping guide operational and strategic decisions. This role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to communicate findings clearly to both financial and clinical stakeholders. The position offers a collaborative and mission-driven environment where your work directly impacts organizational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 1+ year of exposure to physician enterprise, hospital, or healthcare finance preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and summarize information effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPS, PivotTables, and data manipulation).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with executives, physicians, and team members.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and experience with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze consolidated financial reports for physician practices, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to streamline data collection and analysis.
  • Compare actual results to budgets and forecasts, identifying key financial and operational issues.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes by providing detailed financial insights.
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to track organizational financial health.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to gather data and support management reporting.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
