About The Position

C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center's Diagnostic Imaging Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Physician (Radiology/Diagnostic) Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Requirements

  • 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Responsibilities

  • Interpret Routine Diagnostic, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound exams.
  • Read reports and record results for review by physicians.
  • Perform Fluoroscopic exams or CT guided procedures as required.
  • Oversee the administration of contrast media to ensure that all required protocols are within Service/Medical Center guidelines.
  • Involved with teaching of the USF Residents whom most have academic appointments.
