About the position

Join UChicago Medicine Care Network, as a Physician Compensation Analyst, UCM Care Network in the Burr Ridge, IL location. This position will be primarily a work from home opportunity with the requirement to come onsite as needed. You may be based outside of the greater Chicagoland area. Responsible for administration, analysis, and evaluation of physician compensation models. This position ensures compensation structures align with Fair Market Value (FMV) guidelines, organizational equity standards, and performance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, and administer compensation models for employed physicians, ensuring alignment with FMV guidelines and organizational equity standards.
  • Create and distribute productivity reports and performance dashboards to providers and departmental leadership, offering insights for informed decision-making and performance optimization.
  • Manage processes for annual salary resets, bi-weekly physician payroll, starting salary evaluations, new hire payroll set up, and coordinate provider contracting to ensure competitive and compliant compensation practices.
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry-specific trends to ensure compensation models are competitive, sustainable, and aligned with corporate performance standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the structural performance of compensation models, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or other related field
  • High level of analytical ability Must be able to handle multiple priority projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in compensation administration to include incentive design.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and data analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, including physician compensation, revenue cycle management, reimbursement methodologies, and cost accounting.
