About The Position

City of Hope Orange County is redefining the boundaries of what's possible in cancer research and treatment. We're bringing access to our scientific expertise and highly specialized cancer care closer to home by building OC's only specialty cancer hospital at our comprehensive cancer campus in Irvine, California. Once open in late 2025, it will deepen our treatment capabilities and seamlessly connect to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer, our NCI-designated - and OC's most advanced - cancer center. Surrounded by a regional network of care, the Irvine campus is a beacon of hope for the nation's sixth largest county. The new hospital is the capstone of our 11-acre City of Hope Orange County campus. Where other hospitals must serve the full spectrum of health conditions in our community, every team member at this specialty cancer hospital—from the nurses to nutritionists to physicians - will focus solely on oncology.

Requirements

• Board certified or eligible in Colorectal Surgery.
• Training in advanced oncologic colorectal surgery.

• Experience in a collaborative team environment.
• Established referral base in Colorectal Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical and research programs in colorectal surgery.
• Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Engage in 4 to 4 ½ days of clinical work (clinic and OR) with protected time for scholarly achievements.
• Support quality and safety and maintain clinical excellence and innovation.
